Review of the AutoPilot Profits System

Well, Ewen Chia is a well known Internet Marketer in the business since 1997 and his informational products are of quality and do cater to newbie trying to learn and earn on the Internet. This product says that by reading and learning through this program you can generate AutopilotProfits. This program actually is all about Internet Affiliate Marketing with some new and unique ideas that Ewen Chia is successfully using to sell others products and generate traffic.

I have very limited resources and simply cannot afford anything above $30 which you probably would have got some idea after reading my profile. So I look for very low cost programs that are worthwhile (and can potentially make me money), by a known successful Internet Marketer specially if the person selling the product is using the strategies him/herself and is earning online and that does not break the bank (which in my case is empty anyways). That way I get something that is new and unique and has some value. I do not want to get a recycled version of the same old ebook sold by many calling themselves "guru/expert" on the Internet.

Currently the price of this program is $27 and its said that it will be increased to $97 (I have seen Ewen Chia's products sell for $97), which could in this case be a marketing strategy, so I do not know. However this is among the highest selling product on the Internet via clickbank.

Now to make and earn money on Autopilot you still have to do your research, work really hard, learn a lot of techniques and strategies (they are spelled in his ebook but require work on your part) to be able to earn money/Profits on Auto Pilot. Earning serious money on the Internet is actually like setting up your own business and the effort required online is not different from what you would have to put in to set up a physical business. If you like you can read more about Autopilot Profits here

Autopilot Profits is the easy way for the beginners to start.  All in all, everything needed to set up the Autopilot Profits system is being taken of.

Go to Autopilot Profits now.

Email Testing For Quality Assurance and More

Email Testing For Quality Assurance and More

Email Template Design - Marc Kline - November 1st, 2007 - Permalink

If we didn't test our messages before sending them to our subscribers, I'd be in a lot of trouble! I can't tell you how many times I've had typos and broken links caught only by reviewing messages before sending.

Not only do we all make mistakes, but sometimes when we look at our work only from our own perspective, we don't see the forest for the trees.

Testing can help with both problems. I'd like to briefly share a few ways successful email marketers test their messages, including benefits and limitations of each:

Method #1: Self-Testing

Try using a test feature to send your messages to a few of your own email accounts, possibly including software based email clients like Outlook and Thunderbird, as well as free web based ones like Yahoo! Mail and Gmail.

Benefit:

See your email messages much like your subscribers will in different email applications

Test links to make sure they direct to the desired page

Limitation:

Difficulty in taking a fresh, outside look at messages and their effectiveness.

Method #2: Recruit Your Friends and Colleagues

Discuss your campaign with helpful peers and ask them to provide feedback. Use the test feature, or for more complete feedback from a more realistic test, have them sign up for your email marketing campaign.

Benefit:

Collaboration: get a fresh set of eyes on the content of your messages and feedback on the broader goals of your campaign

Limitation:

A potentially narrow perspective: our friends are often more like us than our subscribers.

Method #3: Real World Testing

Once you have more than 100 people subscribed to your campaign, you can randomly segment and test to groups of your subscribers.

Results are in the form of measurable email analytics metrics such as open and click tracking rates, and if you make yourself approachable to subscribers, you're bound to receive helpful feedback.

Benefit:

Test your hypothesis: learning from what does and doesn't work helps you to keep your quality and results on an upward trend

Limitation:

Any type of measurement requires interpretation to get actionable insight.

We Need to Start Somewhere!

It's true — we won't get most things right 100% the first time, and testing helps you to take a step back to make improvements.

But we won't get anywhere if we don't start somewhere.

You know your business well, and you probably know enough about your subscribers to target them effectively. Start with your best shot, then use testing to hit the bullseye.

Are you in the good habit of testing your messages? We'd love to hear about your testing routine in the comments below.

Expert Strategies for SEO

Expert Strategies for SEO

Optimizing your site for search engines can be challenging and time consuming. It's a game where the rules are always changing and there is no shortage of outdated and just flat out bad advice readily available. So, what should you be doing? How should you be approaching the whole search engine optimization mess?

» Watch our video featuring Rand Fishkin, Eric Enge, David Brown, and Brian Mark!

When creating your SEO strategy, due diligence mandates that you not just take the word of the first self-styled SEO expert that just 'shows up' in your inbox one day. Beyond that it's an even better idea to look for consensus viewpoints among established and recognized experts in the field. ( Give us your comments.)

So, where would an SEO expert start with a site? That's what we wanted to know. What are some of the common themes, concepts, ideas and practices all of these guys would agree on? We put these questions to four leading SEO guys.

We got some good ones too.

• Rand Fishkin, CEO of SEOmoz.org, sure he wears funny
shoes, but he's an SEO rockstar of the first order by
  anyone's definition.

• Eric Enge of Stone Temple Consulting, a regular and
veteran of the SEO conference scene.

• David Brown of Top SEO Consultants. SEO, forums,
podcasts, blogs - if you know a buzzword, David's
probably been there and done it already.

• Brian Mark from Toolbarn.com. Brian is an admin at
WebProWorld forum and last year Toolbarn made the list
of top 100 Internet retailers. 'Nuff said.

Obviously, you can watch the video to get the info first hand, but for those of you who prefer to stick with the text here are some of the more interesting points made:

All of these guys agreed on the importance of having a crawlable site. Dump the pull down navigation windows, take it easy on the java script, don't get nuts with Flash dominated pages. Always use distinct titles and descriptions from page to page. Watch your achor (link) text - you don't want to use things like 'click here' or 'home' for your navigation because they don't mean much to search spiders.

Convert visitors with Google Analytics - free

David Brown specifically mentioned the concept of the KEI, or Keyword Efficiency Index when thinking about and choosing keywords you want to focus on. KEI is important and it's one of those things you can show off to your non-SEO friends to make them understand how smart you are because it has a very impressive looking formula:

KEI = (DS^2/C) = (DS/C * DS)

It's actually not as complicated as it looks, and there is a great definition of KEI at StrictlyCSS.com.

Eric, Rand and Brian all mentioned how important the content of your site is to your SEO efforts. This is particularly true in terms of garnering those all-important inbound links to your site. As Rand observes specifically, search engines rank based on two factors; relevance and popularity.

Relevance is fairly self-explanatory, but the popularity angle is more interesting. You want your on page content to be popular - not necessarily with engines themselves (because they don't care) and not necessarily popular with your customers --- you want your content to be popular with other people in your field. Similar sites with similar topics, targeting the same kind of areas Links from those kinds of sites/pages are extremely valuable inbound links. ( Give us your comments.)

Obviously, this isn't to say to ignore your customers and end users when you create your content. Simply that you should also be thinking about the attractiveness or linkability of your content to other people sites within your subject area. At the end of the day, nothing will move you further, faster than quality inbound links.

Speaking of inbound links, the general consensus of all of our experts in the video is basically the more the merrier. They all stress the importance and value of having relevant inbound links with good, keyword specific anchor text, but none of them seem to have any qualms or issues with HOW you go about getting them. A couple of guys just flat out admit that they will, and have, paid for sites to link to them.

That said, they also all agree that if you do buy links, you should be smart about it. Be selective about the types of links you buy - make double sure they are relevant etc and just basically keep it under your hat.

There's plenty more info in the video. Be sure to check it out. If you feel like we left some major point unexplored or have suggestions or ideas for future video interviews, let me know about it and we'll see what we can come up with.

How To Continually Grow Your Internet Business

The promise of earning profits without really doing much of anything has enticed a lot of people towards affiliate marketing. But does affiliate marketing really work this way?

As an affiliate, all that is required of you is to simply place the merchant's ad on your website.

Then after that, you virtually do nothing but wait for anyone to click on the merchant's ad and later collect your profits. Easy, right? Well, not quite often. Many affiliates earn almost nothing from their affiliate programs simply because they do nothing. Remember that affiliate marketing is but another form of marketing, and you'll definitely need to market your merchant's product for you to earn something.

Successful affiliates in any affiliate program simply don't sit there and wait for money to come. Why? Because there is no money in simply sitting and waiting. If you want to be successful in affiliate marketing and if you want to continually grow your affiliate checks, you've got to do something. Think of ways on how to promote your merchant's business and products better. Think of ways on how to induce other people to click on the link or ad provided to you by your merchant. Think of ways on how to make your affiliate sales increase!

So if you're new in affiliate marketing and you try to follow the easy go lucky pit that most unsuccessful affiliate marketers follow, then you're definitely on the wrong track. But we're not advising you to stop right there. No.

Rather, we want you to take some steps to make your affiliate program work better and gain more commissions for you. How? Here are a few guidelines that may help you to continually grow your affiliate checks:

* Become an expert on your affiliate product.

You can promote your merchant's product better if you know a lot of things about it. To become an expert, the best thing you can do is purchase your merchant's product yourself. This way, you can tell your customers about your first-hand experience using the product. You can even write a testimonial or a personal endorsement ad about it. But if any condition does not permit you to purchase the product, you can at least make a thorough research about it.

* Host your own website.

Or at least have a domain name that is short and easy to remember. You certainly wouldn't expect a visitor to remember a very long and incomprehensible URL. And if that's so, you also wouldn't expect him to visit your website any time soon. That means less traffic for your page and the less chance for your affiliate ads and links to be clicked.

It is also a good idea to create a private website and offer access to it to anybody who clicks on any of your affiliate ads. Visitors usually get interested with these private websites. Private websites also gives you a venue to promote your back-end affiliate products.

* Write your own affiliate ads.

Many merchants usually wouldn't mind if you write and design your own ads for their products, for as long as you ask permission from them and present them your ad before posting it on your site. This gives you a greater advantage over a lot of other affiliates who must be advertising the same affiliate products.

* Participate in chat rooms, discussion boards, and forums related to your product.

If you use to ignore them before, then it is time for you to start focusing your attention on them. You can start your own chat or join an existing chat related to your product. You don't have to promote your affiliate product at once, but find the chance to advertise and promote it as you go along. The same would be true for message boards, discussion boards and forums.

* Create a free ezine or newsletter.

Ezines and newsletters are periodical publications whose aim is to inform a group of people about a certain subject. In your ezines and newsletters, you don't always have to promote your merchant's product for this may greatly annoy your subscribers. Rather, find a way to insert your affiliate ads and links on some portions of the letter. Also, don't forget to promote your ezine or newsletter on your website.

These are but a few guidelines on how you can increase your affiliate sales and continually grow your affiliate checks. Sure there can be a lot of other tips that out there, and if you think they would work, we won't discourage you from following them. What's important is that you be able to find a way to: attract more traffic to your site, induce your visitors to click on the ads on your site, and be able to promote your merchant's products even outside the boundary of your website. If you can do these, there's no reason for you to fail in affiliate marketing.

Holiday Action Saves a Sour Shopping Season

Holiday Action Saves a Sour Shopping Season

[By: Beka Ruse]

Usually,
U.S. retailers earn 20-80% of their entire yearly gross during the holiday season. But this year, things are different. The sluggish US economy has prompted Deloitte Research's Carl Steidtmann to fear "the worst Christmas ever" in the retail sector.

Short of going door to door in a Santa suit, how can businesses increase profits and prevent a blue Christmas? Despite economic gloom, industry leaders have found that an e-mail follow up strategy can increase sales by a cheery 35%! To weather the ailing economy, use a follow up autoresponder during your holiday campaigns.

What Does It Do?

Follow up autoresponders follow up with your leads for you. You create a series of messages, and decide when they should be sent, (daily, weekly, etc.). Your autoresponder will send the messages to each new lead automatically. With no further intervention from you, your leads will remember you throughout the winter chill. And this regular reminding will mean more sales during the all-important holiday shopping season.

Give yourself the gift of a higher conversion rate! Follow up automatically using these simple steps:

·         Offer Useful Information

·         Personalize Your Messages

·         Track Your Leads

·         Broadcast Tailor-Made Offers

Offer Useful Information

Write your follow up messages for your leads - not for yourself. You want to talk about your great service, but your leads just want to know what they'll get out of it!

At some point, you must have purchased something like your product. What were you looking for then? Was it information about pricing, styles, or holiday gift wrapping? Maybe just a clearer explanation of the product? Figure that out, and put the answer in your follow up messages. That's what your leads want to know.

Personalize Your Messages

You don't open postal mail addressed to "Current Resident", and your leads aren't going to read e-mail addressed to "Dear Internet Friend." People are simply more likely to read messages that address them by name.

Autoresponders let you use variables to personalize your messages. This way, you write just one message, but Lenny Lead reads "Happy Holidays, Lenny!" while Kate Customer reads "Happy Holidays, Kate!"

Names are only the beginning of the personalization features available, though. In addition to full, first, and last names, some autoresponders let you add e-mail addresses, dates, or an ad category. The best even correct the capitalization in your leads' names, giving your messages a much more professional look.

Track Your Leads

Get even better results from your snowballing list of leads by experimenting with follow up content and timing. Your experimentation will be much more successful if you have access to proper statistics.

Only use a follow up autoresponder that offers detailed lead statistics. Look for live, graphical stats that show your incoming leads broken down by day / week / month, all of your active leads, and leads who have requested removal from your list.

Broadcast Tailor-Made Offers

To get more bang for your holiday buck, look for an autoresponder that also lets you broadcast extra e-mails to all of your leads. Some even allow you to send tailor-made offers only to leads who meet certain criteria.

Spam: Where it Came From, and How to Escape It

Spam: Where it Came From, and How to Escape It

[By: Beka Ruse]

In 1936, long before the rise of the personal computer, Hormel Foods created SPAM. In 2002, the company will produce it's six billionth can of the processed food product. But that mark was passed long ago in the world of Internet spam.

Who Cooked This!? (How did it all start?)

The modern meaning of the word "spam" has nothing to do with spiced ham. In the early 1990's, a skit by British comedy group Monty Python led to the word's common usage. "The SPAM Skit" follows a couple struggling to order dinner from a menu consisting entirely of Hormel's canned ham.

Repetition is key to the skit's hilarity. The actors cram the word "SPAM" into the 2.5 minute skit more than 104 times! This flood prompted Usenet readers to call unwanted newsgroup postings "spam." The name stuck.

Spammers soon focused on e-mail, and the terminology moved with them. Today, the word has come out of technical obscurity. Now, "spam" is the common term for "Unsolicited Commercial E-Mail", or "UCE."

Why Does Bad Spam Happen to Good People?

Chances are, you've been spammed before. Somehow, your e-mail address has found it's way into the hands of a spammer, and your inbox is suffering the consequences. How does this happen? There are several possibilities.

Backstabbing Businesses
Businesses often keep lists of their customers' e-mail addresses. This is a completely legitimate practice and, usually, nothing bad comes of it. Sometimes though, the temptation to make a quick buck is too great, and these lists are sold or rented to outside advertisers. The result? A lot of unsolicited e-mail, and a serious breach of trust.

Random Address Generation
Computer programs called random address generators simply "guess" e-mail addresses. Over 100 million hotmail addresses exist - howhard could it be to guess some of them? Unfortunately for many unsuspecting netizens - not too hard. Many spammers also guess at
"standard" addresses, like "support@yourdomain.com",
"info@yourdomain.com", and "billing@yourdomain.com."

Web Spiders
Today's most insidious list-gathering tools are web spiders. All of the major search engines spider the web, saving information about each page. Spammers use tools that also spider the web, but save any
e-mail address they come across. Your personal web page lists your e-mail address? Prepare for an onslaught!

Chat Room Harvesting
ISP's offer vastly popular chat rooms where users are known only by their screen names. Of course, spammers know that your screen name is the first part of your e-mail address. Why waste time guessing e-mail addresses when a few hours of lurking in a chat room can net a list of actively-used addresses?

The Poor Man's Bad Marketing Idea
It didn't work for the phone companies, and it won't work for e-mail marketers. But, some spammers still keep their own friends-and-family-style e-mail lists. Compiled from the addresses of other known spammers, and people or businesses that the owner has come across in the past, these lists are still illegitimate. Why? Only you can give someone permission to send you e-mail. A friend-of-a-friend's permission won't cut it.

Stop The Flood to Your Inbox

Already drowning in spam? Try using your e-mail client's filters - many provide a way to block specific e-mail addresses. Each time you're spammed, block the sender's address. Spammers skip from address to address, and you may be on many lists, but this method will at least slow the flow.

Also, use more than one e-mail address, and keep one "clean." Many netizens find that this technique turns the spam flood into a trickle. Use one address for only spam-safe activities like e-mailing your friends, or signing on with trustworthy businesses. Never use your clean address on the web! Get a free address to use on the web and in chat rooms.

If nothing else helps, consider changing screen names, or opening an entirely new e-mail account. When you do, you'll start with a clean, spam-free slate. This time, protect your e-mail address!

Stay Off Spammed Lists in the Future

Want to surf the web without getting sucked into the spam-flood? Prevention is your best policy. Don't use an easy-to-guess e-mail address. Keep your address clean by not using it for spam-centric activities. Don't post it on any web pages, and don't use it in chat rooms or newsgroups.

Before giving your clean e-mail address to a business, check the company out. Are sections of its user agreement dedicated to anti-spam rules? Does a privacy policy explain exactly what will be done with your address? The most considerate companies also post an anti-spam policy written in plain English, so you can be absolutely sure of what you're getting into.

Think You're Not a Spammer? Be Sure.

Many a first-time marketer has inadvertently spammed his audience. The first several hundred complaints and some nasty phone messages usually stop him in his tracks. But by then, the spammer may be faced with cleanup bills from his ISP, and a bad reputation that it's not easy to overcome.

The best way to avoid this situation is to have a clear understanding of what spam is: If anyone who receives your mass e-mails did not specifically ask to hear from you, then you are spamming them.

Stick with your gut. Don't buy a million addresses for $10, no matter how much the seller swears by them! If something sounds fishy, just say no. You'll save yourself a lot in the end.

The Final Blow

The online world is turning the tide on spam. In the end, people will stop sending spam because it stops working. Do your part: never buy from a spammer. When your business seeks out technology companies with which to work, only choose those with a staunch anti-spam stance.

Spam has a long history in both the food and e-mail sectors. This year, Hormel Foods opened a real-world museum dedicated to SPAM. While the museum does feature the Monty Python SPAM Skit, there's no word yet on an unsolicited commercial e-mail exhibit. But, if all upstanding netizens work together, Hormel's ham in a can will far outlive the Internet plague that is UCE.
